Case IH refreshes Farmall utility line with new cab and simpler controls
A quieter cab, a redesigned joystick and fewer menus aim the update squarely at hay and livestock operations.

Case IH has rolled out a refreshed version of its Farmall utility tractors, and the headline changes are inside the cab rather than under the hood. The company says the new cab cuts interior noise by roughly four decibels and adds about three inches of legroom, a change aimed at operators who spend long days mowing and baling.
The bigger story may be the controls. Case IH replaced a cluttered armrest with a single multifunction joystick and pared the display down to the handful of functions most hay and livestock producers actually use. Product managers said dealer feedback was blunt: customers wanted a tractor a hired hand could run on day one without a training session.
Engine options carry over largely unchanged, as does the shuttle transmission, which should keep pricing close to the outgoing models. Dealers expect the first units on lots before the end of the year.
Several dealers said the simplified controls could matter more than horsepower in a market where labor is hard to find and harder to keep.

Fewer menus is the best feature on any tractor. My kid can run the old one because there's nothing to mess up.

Four decibels is a real difference over a 10-hour day. Curious what the cab price bump looks like.
